Lighthouse Peak is Palo Duro Canyon State Park’s signature rock formation. The 310-foot high Hoodoo has been designated a National Natural Landmark. Hoodoos consist of relatively soft rock topped by harder, less easily eroded stone that protects each column from the elements. ©2012 Michael Schumacher
