I’m Michael Schumacher, an award winning photojournalist with over 30 years of experience documenting the world around me. My friends all call me “Schu,” pronounced like the shoe on your foot. My career has afforded me the opportunity to photograph thousands of people and events over the years, but my true photographic love has been fine art photography. I love making beautiful pictures and capturing those memories of life. I’ve been experimenting with High Dynamic Range or HDR photography, creating several galleries of very dramatic images.

I'm available for freelance journalism work and commercial photography, including food, fashion, architecture, modeling portfolio and any location shooting in the Amarillo area.
